The bold, sweet, lemony aroma of cardamom will fill your kitchen when you bake these Cardamom Cranberry Oat Cookies.

If you have never used cardamom when baking, you have to give it a try. It can transform a simple recipe into something unique. People will love the baked goods and not necessarily know why. Cardamom goes so well with cranberries and nuts that you can’t go wrong with this simple recipe. The aroma of the cookies baking in your kitchen screams out “Fall is here!”

When I made these for the first time, my husband was working in his home office. He came out and wanted to know what smelled so good. He isn’t a big sweet eater but is a sucker for a yummy oat cookie. Needless to say, he loved them! Even the kids gobbled them up when they came home from school. The dusting of powdered sugar and cardamom on top really makes them extra special.

Thanks to Betty Crocker® oatmeal cookie mix and some simple ingredients, they take only minutes to pop into the oven.

These are great cookies to make with the kids, too, because all you need to do is mix the ingredients up in a bowl, roll them into balls and bake.

When the cookies come out of the oven, they are irresistible. You may not even have a chance to dust them with the sugar and cardamom before they’re eaten!
