Summer is here, and with it comes rainy days! This year has been especially rainy here in the Midwest. With the kids off school, it takes a lot of creativity to keep them happy inside the house!

This week, after several days of constant rain, I decided to order S’more to Love S’more Maker by Cuisinart, which can be used in the oven or on an open fire. My idea was that the kids and I would forget about the rain and play campfire in the house. The kids were very excited when it arrived! They could not believe that we were about to eat s’mores in the house while the rain was falling outside! While I prepared the ingredients, they started setting up tents made with bed sheets!

We used Nature Valley Dark Chocolate Granola Thins instead of traditional graham crackers. This was the first time I used granola thins to make s’mores, and I have to tell you that we loved it so much we might have a hard time using graham crackers again! My daughter was happy to help me open all the packages.

Our first s’more was scrumptious! Layers of granola thins, Betty Crocker dark chocolate brownie, caramel-filled chocolate squares, and marshmallow!

We stacked everything in the s’more maker, locked it up and cooked for 5 to 7 minutes in a preheated oven until the chocolate was starting to melt, the marshmallow was gooey and the brownie was warmed through. The s’more maker was easy to use and totally mess-free!

I found that using a flat marshmallow was much easier when stacking up so many ingredients—it also made it easier to close the s’more maker, so I bought jumbo marshmallows and cut each one into 4 slices.

My daughter loves chocolate and mint. Our second creation had granola thins, mint-filled chocolate squares and marshmallow.

Raspberry jam, marshmallow and dark chocolate granola thins was another hit. The kids were amazed with our unusual s’mores creations!

We finished our campfire adventure in style with a banana split s’more with layers of granola thins, a piece of milk chocolate, thin slices of banana and marshmallow.

When the s’more was out of the oven, we topped it with vanilla ice cream, fudge and caramel sauce, whipped cream and sprinkles! This was so delicious; I had to make myself one. And I did not share it!

We had so much fun trying all those s’mores. The Cuisinart S’more Maker was easy to use and the results were impressive—six warm and gooey s’mores indoors in 5 to 7 minutes! And when the weather is nice, forget about burnt marshmallows … you can use the s’more maker on the grill and it’s just as quick! Adults and children will love them!
