Prep Instructions

You will need:
1/3 Cup Vegetable Oil
2 Tablespoons Water*
1 Egg
Instructions:
1 Heat oven to 350°F for aluminum or glass pan or 325°F for nonstick pan. Grease bottom only of 8-inch square pan.
2 Stir Brownie Mix, oil, water and egg with spoon about 50 times (batter may be lumpy). Spread in pan.
3 Bake 26 to 28 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out almost clean; cool.
*For cakelike brownies, increase water to 1/4 cup.
High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): Stir 3 Tbsp all-purpose flour into dry brownie mix. Bake 25-27 min.
Betty’s Tip: For easy cutting, cool brownies at least 1 hour, and use a plastic knife.
