These are wonderful any time of the year, but especially good during the holidays. Easy to make. I've prepared the dough into balls, put them on a cookie sheet and froze until hard. Then put the balls in a zip lock bag (squeeze out the air) and keep in the freezer until you're ready to bake! Leave on a cookie sheet at room temp for a few minutes before baking. WONDERFUL!!

OMG! These are the Bomb! I remember having these over the holidays about 30 years ago. Never knew how to make them until now. Instead of Walnuts or Pecans, I chose to use Macadamia Nuts (expensive but worth it). They turned out exactly as I remember. I have since then shared then with my two neighbors and they love'em. Definitely will be making these every year from now on. Thanks BK.

Straight from the Betty Crocker's Cooky Book (not a mispelling) (C)1963 by General Mills My cookie bible since I was 7 years old and old enough to read and follow recipes on my own.

These are the best. My mom and I made them every Christmas while I was growing up. Have them with a cup of hot chocolate and you will be in heaven.

This "cake" is the perfect opposite to all the chocolate goodies for the holidays. It has been a family favorite for over 40 years. It is not Christmas without Russian Tea Cakes.

Very few recipes need no adjusting to work with your kitchen equipment/tastes. This one is perfect. Highly recommend!!! I would also suggest doubling the recipe. They go quick!

I made these cookies this morning after I had read all of the reviews. These are fantastic cookies, I will be making them again. They were so easy and came out perfect. I did double the recipe with the anticipation that everyone was right. Boy I am sure glad I did. I will be making these again definitly for Thanksgiving and for Christmas.

I learned how to make these cookies from my grandmother over 25 years ago. These are Christmas cookie staples and have a long history in our family. They where even used as my wedding day favors (4 cookies wrapped in a little white box with a crimson red ribbon...beautiful). We have always called them Mexican Wedding Cookies but as they say "a rose by any other name would smell as sweet." I can't wait to help my mother teach my little one how to make them and continue our tradition.
