Upon first interview, Betty Food Editor, Angela Ritchie stated proudly “I have a first edition 1950 Betty Crocker Picture Book on my nightstand right now!”

Angela comes to us with nearly two decades of experience in the food and marketing space and a degree in Food Media. From teaching cooking classes at Sur la Table, to developing menus for her local grocery store cafe, there isn’t much in the culinary world she hasn’t done. Some of her earliest food memories include watching PBS reruns of Julia Child with her mother and cooking spaghetti lunch on Sundays with her grandma.

A college internship on The Martha Stewart Show in New York City solidified her love of working in a test kitchen. She remembers once being complimented on her ability to pick out the prettiest lemons at the grocery store.

Growing up in an Italian farming community in Northern Wisconsin anchors Angela’s culinary philosophy: Food is always better shared, and there’s no such thing as too much cheese.

Her hope is to support every level of home cook by inspiring confidence, creativity, and connection.

“My food philosophy is: Food is always better shared, and there’s no such thing as too much cheese.”
