These Pumpkin Pie Bars are rooted in family tradition, boasting a crunchy crust made with Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Yellow Cake Mix and topped with creamy pumpkin pie filling. This festive dessert is scrumptious, easy to make, and perfect for any holiday gathering, especially Thanksgiving. 

This recipe is relatively foolproof. Simply whisk together the pumpkin pie filling ingredients and top with cake mix, chopped pecans, and melted butter. Once cooled, the bars can be cut and enjoyed as is or topped with Betty Crocker™ Whipped Butter Cream Frosting or fresh whipped cream.

  • 2 cans (15 oz each) pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice

    Heat oven to 350°F. Line a 13x9-inch pan with cooking parchment paper. Set aside.

    Into a large bowl, add the pumpkin, eggs, sweetened condensed milk, sugar, and pumpkin pie spice; whisk until smooth.

    Pour the filling into the prepared pan.

    Evenly distribute the cake mix over the top of the filling.

    Next, add chopped pecans and the melted butter.

    Bake for 1 hour. After baking, allow the bars to cool for 1 hour before inverting the pan and cutting into squares. Enjoy this dessert plain or with desired topping.
