cups refrigerated shredded hash brown potatoes (from 1-lb 4-oz bag)

teaspoon pepper

cup Green Giant® Valley Fresh Steamers™ frozen sweet peas, thawed and drained

frozen meatballs (from 16-oz bag), thawed and cut in half

cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 oz)

cup Original Bisquick® mix

cup milk

  • 1 Heat oven to 400°F. Spray 9-inch glass pie plate or deep-dish pie plate with cooking spray.
  • 2 In small bowl, toss potatoes with salt and pepper. Layer potatoes, peas, meatballs and cheese in pie plate.
  • 3 In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix, milk and eggs with fork or wire whisk until blended. Pour into pie plate.
  • 4 Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until center is set and top is golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.

Family really enjoyed this meal. I felt the potatoes though needed more seasoning than just salt and pepper. This would be good as mini pies also.

I made this a couple weeks ago and my family loved it. I did make a couple changes to it before i made it so figured i would share with all of you. Instead of using shredded hash browns we used tater tots. I smashed them up a little on the bottom. I also added some garlic powder and seasoning salt on top of the tater tots. It came out so good. I think adding the seasonings made it not so bland and the tater tots added more flavor then just regular hash browns. Hope this helps out others :)

This wanted too bad. It was a little bland. I'm thinking next time mixing everything together then sprinkle with cheese.
