How to Make Peach Cobbler

Here's how to make a delicious peach cobbler with ease. See the full recipe below for all the details.

1. Heat Oven & Start Filling

Heat your oven to 400°F. A fully preheated oven helps the biscuit topping rise beautifully. In a 4-quart saucepan, mix 1/3 cup sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Stir in the peaches, water, and lemon juice.

2. Cook Filling

Bring the peach mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil and stir for 1 minute until it thickens – this prevents a watery cobbler and brightens the peach flavor. Pour the hot filling into an ungreased 8- or 9-inch square glass baking dish.

3. Make & Add Biscuit Topping

In a medium bowl, gently stir Bisquick mix, 1 tablespoon sugar, milk, and melted butter until a soft dough forms. Be careful not to overmix to keep the biscuits tender. Drop the dough by 6 spoonfuls onto the hot peach mixture. Sprinkle the remaining 1 tablespoon sugar evenly over the dough for a golden finish.

4. Bake & Serve

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the biscuit topping is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbling around the edges. Let the cobbler cool for several minutes before serving; this helps the filling set for easier scooping.

How to Store Peach Cobbler

While nothing quite compares to a warm slice of Peach Cobbler fresh from the oven, any leftovers can be just as delightful!

Refrigerator

Place any leftover cobbler in an airtight container or cover the baking dish tightly with plastic wrap. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
