medium onion, diced (1/2 cup)

cup sliced fresh mushrooms

bag (16 oz) Cascadian Farm® frozen organic garden peas

teaspoon coarse salt (kosher or sea salt)

teaspoon white pepper

teaspoon chopped fresh or 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1 In 10-inch skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Cook onion and mushrooms in oil 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in peas. Cook 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender.
  • 2 Sprinkle with salt, pepper and thyme. Serve immediately.

I did a variation of this recipe with a bag of frozen mixed veggies, and oh did it turn out wonderful! Fresh onion & mushrooms with the veggies made all the difference! I'm sure that if all of the vegitables were fresh it would be even better.

You can use fresh peas but for faster results I used canned and it was very tasty I did use fresh mushrooms though because they were presliced. It was fast and even my husband liiked it.
