oz cream cheese, softened

tablespoons orange marmalade

cup sliced almonds
  • 1 Preheat oven to 350°. Spray a 9-inch round baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  • 2 In a medium bowl, combine Bisquick mix and sugar. Add milk and egg, stirring until smooth. Stir in sour cream. Spoon mixture into prepared pan.
  • 3 In a small bowl, combine cream cheese and orange marmalade. Spoon mixture by tablespoons evenly over batter; sprinkle evenly with almonds. Bake for 32 to 37 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool for 10 minutes before cutting into wedges to serve.

I have made this twice now. Went over well with our monthly brunch crowd. The second time, I added a tsp of Watkins Pure Orange Extract to the cake batter. Superb!

since I was using a 9" glass baking dish I lowered the temperature to 325*. The batter raised and spilled over the side of the dish burning in the bottom of the oven. The end results is a "lumpy" looking item.
