My fiance and I are not huge fans of oatmeal in cookies so I used the regular chocolate chip cookie mix and didn't not have a problem with the dough being dry at all.

The dough was very dry, but once I added an extra half a stick of butter, the consistency improved greatly. The cookies came out chewy and soft although a couple fell to pieces even after cooling. But the pieces tasted great too!

These are great, but the dough is dry. I added an extra 3/4 stick of butter so the cookies wouldn't be dry and crumbly. They stay soft and chewy with the extra butter. I also didn't have peanut butter candies so I used peanut butter chips. I also used just the plain oatmeal cookie mix. To jazz them up like a monster cookie, I'd use m&ms or similar and skip the nuts.
