box Betty Crocker® SuperMoist® white cake mix
Water, vegetable oil and egg whites called for on cake mix box

containers Betty Crocker® Rich & Creamy creamy white frosting

to 30 large marshmallows
Betty Crocker® colored sugar or candy sprinkles
White or colored birthday candles
  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans).
  • 2 Make, bake and cool cake mix as directed on box for 24 cupcakes. Frost cupcakes with frosting.
  • 3 Spray blades of kitchen scissors with cooking spray. Cut marshmallows crosswise into slices; sprinkle with colored sugar. Arrange on cupcakes in flower shape. Place candle in center of each flower. Store loosely covered.

I made these cupcakes for a one year old's birthday party. I also made a small smash cake with a couple of flowers for decoration. I used brightly colored sugar for a more wow impact. I filled the center of the flower with a a little blog of colored icing. Two things to keep in mind: oil your scissors (which will need a good scrub afterwards) and press the flowers in while the icing is still wet so the marshmallow sticks. I made these cupcakes for my daughters first birthday and they were a hit!!! I added a fresh strawberry to the top of each one and to the filling. She loved them!!
