Gold Medal Flour

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup Fiber One™ original bran cereal
  • 1 1/2 cups quick-cooking or old-fashioned oats
  • 3/4 cup white vanilla baking chips

Steps

    Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, stir together butter, sugars and eggs. In small bowl, stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; stir into butter mixture. Stir in cereal, oats and baking chips.

    Onto ungreased cookie sheets, drop dough by heaping tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart.

    Bake 9 minutes. Cool 1 to 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Cool completely before storing in tightly covered container.

  • For double chocolate cookies, replace the vanilla chips with semisweet or dark chocolate chips.
