This is the best sugar cookie recipe ever! I have been making these sugar cookies since I was a child. Follow the recipe carefully and they will turn out light and crisp. Full of delicate sweetness! Excellent recipe for holiday cookies.

This is the best sugar cookie ever tasted! You do need to follow directions exactly, and let it chill in the fridge at least a couple hours. I find it helpful to put the dough back in the fridge when not rolling it out to keep it from getting too soft. I have been using this recipe for over 30 years! The kids love it! I also use tub frosting to frost the cookies for holidays.

The confectioners sugar made them very sweet, but the dough came out too wet to roll and cut. Added extra flour but that made it worse. Do not like recipes with cream of tartar, seems to give a starchy bland taste even with all the sugar.
