Definitely precook the pasta for 5 mins or so. Beyond that, this recipe turns out exactly as described and pictured. It's very tasty in my opinion, and leftovers reheat well in the microwave. Two tips; when covering with foil, don't cover it tightly. Make your foil a little big and leave room for the pie to rise. Secondly, don't be shy when spraying the glass or the foil with non-stick spray. Spray it down just a little more than you think you should.

We love this recipe now that my sister partially cooks the macaroni, increases the amount of cheese. But, that's what cooking is all about, you find a recipe and make it your own.

I've made this recipe twice and my picky, macaroni and cheese expert love it! After reading some of the reviews I decided to pre-cook the macaroni a bit (5 minutes) and I added a teaspoon of season salt to the mix. Sure, it doesn't cook in 40 minutes like the recipe says (more like 50-55 minutes), but it's pretty darn good!
