I reduced sugar to 1 cup confectioners sugar and used unsalted butter 1/2 and it was absolutely delicious and perfect yummy enough to eat from spoon. with the left over i added some cinnamon to taste and put into frig. and ate it with poached pears and ice-cream and put a dollop on top of the creamcheese frosting. Let me tell you it was just as good as putting whip cream on... I do have a question this is the first time I made this type of frosting to put on my pumpkin spice cookies and I was told that it would harden so I could place my cookies away, but it didn't it stayed soft is there any way to make this type of frosting so it hardens. They are in frig now cause I am afraid that the frosting on cookies will spoil. I will take any suggestions.... thank you

I have been a long time patron of Betty Crocker Whipped frosting for cakes and frostings, however, in my recent purchase, I was a bit disappointed. It seems to have lost some of its sweetness and become somewhat 'shortening' tasting. It's no longer yummy enough to eat from the spoon...
