Gluten-Free Meat Lover’s Pizza

Bisquick® Gluten Free mix crust topped with sausages and veggies for a cheesy pizza – a perfect Italian dinner.

Ingredients

cups Bisquick™ Gluten Free mix
1
teaspoon dried basil leaves
1/2
cup water
1/3
cup vegetable oil
2
eggs, beaten
2
cups gluten-free shredded mozzarella cheese (8 oz)
1/2
lb gluten-free bulk Italian pork sausage
1
large onion, chopped (1 cup)
1
medium red bell pepper, chopped (1 cup)
1
can (8 oz) gluten-free pizza sauce
2
oz gluten-free sliced pepperoni

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 425°F. Spray 12-inch pizza pan with cooking spray (without flour).
  • 2 In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix, basil, water, oil and eggs until well blended. Spread in pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of the cheese. Bake 15 minutes or until cheese turns golden brown.
  • 3 Meanwhile, in 10-inch skillet, cook sausage, onion and bell pepper over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sausage is no longer pink and vegetables are tender. Remove from heat; drain if necessary.
  • 4 Spread pizza sauce over partially baked crust. Top with pepperoni and sausage mixture. Sprinkle with remaining 1 1/2 cups cheese. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Expert Tips

For a crisper crust, sprinkle cornmeal on the sprayed pizza pan.

Sprinkle 1/4 cup sliced fresh basil over the meat and veggies before topping with cheese.
