Pancakes that look and taste like doughnuts...just say YUM! This fun pancake twist will certainly wake the sleepy heads in your house. This irresistible recipe is from our Betty Crocker Bisquick Quick to the Table cookbook.

Ingredients

Pancakes

Pancake Glaze

  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon candy sprinkles

    Heat griddle or skillet over medium-high heat (375°F). Brush griddle with vegetable oil if necessary.

    In medium bowl, stir pancake ingredients until blended. Place batter in resealable plastic bag; cut 1/2 inch from bottom corner of bag. For each doughnut pancake, squeeze batter from bag onto hot griddle into 4-inch circle, leaving hole in center.

    Cook 30 to 60 seconds or until bubbly on top and dry around the edges. Turn pancakes; cook until golden brown.

    Meanwhile, in small bowl, stir Pancake Glaze ingredients, except sprinkles, until smooth; set aside.

    Spread tops of warm pancakes with Pancake Glaze. Sprinkle with sprinkles. Serve immediately.

    If the pancake batter spreads too much, it may be helpful to first pipe a thin 4-inch circle of batter onto hot griddle. Then pipe another thicker layer of batter over the first.
