Rolls
2
tablespoons granulated sugar
1
teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 1/2
cups Original Bisquick® mix
2/3
cup milk
2
tablespoons granulated sugar
2
tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
1/4
cup raisins
Glaze
1 1/3
cups powdered sugar
2
tablespoons milk
  • 1 Heat oven to 375°F. Grease bottom and sides of 13x9-inch pan. In small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons sugar and the cinnamon; set aside.
  • 2 In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix, 2/3 cup milk and 2 tablespoons sugar until dough forms. If dough is too sticky, gradually mix in enough Bisquick mix (up to 1/4 cup) to make dough easy to handle. Turn dough onto surface well dusted with Bisquick mix; gently roll dough in Bisquick mix to coat. Shape into ball; knead 10 times.
  • 3 Roll dough into 15x9-inch rectangle; spread with butter. Sprinkle evenly with sugar mixture and raisins. Roll up tightly, beginning at 15-inch side. Seal well by pinching edge of dough into roll. Cut into 1 1/4-inch slices; place cut sides down in pan.
  • 4 Bake 23 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 5 minutes. Remove from pan.
  • 5 In medium bowl, mix powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons milk until smooth. Spread glaze over warm rolls.

Expert Tips

It’s easy to glaze cinnamon rolls if you spread the warm rolls with Betty Crocker® Rich & Creamy vanilla frosting.

Replace raisins with dried sweetened cranberries or blueberries for a twist on these classic breakfast rolls.

Dental floss isn’t just for teeth! Use it to easily cut the dough into slices. Place a 12-inch piece of floss under the roll where you want to make the cut. Then pull the floss ends up so they crisscross at the top and continue pulling the floss to cut through the dough.

DEEE licious! E Z. We loved this recipe and will use it again. Some in the family say it could use some more sugar in the dough but I don't know I thought it was perfect. Next time I may add a little orange extract to the frosting and some orange zest to the dough. This is a sure fire and quick yummy treat for any occasion.

We LOVE cinnamon rolls in this house and I've always wanted to try and make some from scratch. I don't have the time and/or patience for the old fashioned yeast style, so I LOVED the ease of this recipe, but I do have a few tips to mention. I tried a batch according the original recipe and found that the rolls were pretty dry and a little more of a biscuit texture than roll. So I tried the recommendation of adding an egg and 2 Tbsp of sour cream on the second batch and only baking for 18 minutes. The texture was PERFECT! The only negative about this recipe is the glaze. It tasted like plain powdered sugar. I hated it. I tried adding a little vanilla extract on the second batch, but it didn't improve the taste much. I will definitely make this recipe again, using the egg and sour cream additions. But I have to admit I will be using canned icing until I can find a good recipe for the glaze. Overall, excellent recipe to whip up on Sunday mornings!

The dough of Bisquick is always very dry and crunchy, not soft, I tried it in the pizza and the cinnamon roll and both came out the same, can I add oil or butter to the dough?
