Come home to this slow cooked creamy wild rice - a delicious dinner!

Ingredients

cups uncooked wild rice
2 1/4
cups water
1/2
teaspoon rubbed sage
1/2
teaspoon salt

medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)

can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed cream of celery soup
1
can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/4
cup chopped fresh parsley

Directions

  • 1 Mix all ingredients except parsley in 5- to 6-quart slow cooker.
  • 2 Cover and cook on low heat setting 8 to 9 hours or until wild rice is tender. Stir in parsley.

Expert Tips

Wash wild rice in water before cooking it. Place the rice in a bowl of cold water and swirl it around with your hand. When the water becomes cloudy, drain the rice. Repeat the process until the water remains clear.
