There's no need to turn on the oven and heat up the house. This slow cooker chicken chowder is literally a breeze to make!
Using the slow cooker in the fall months is the perfect way to cook a comforting meal without heating up the whole house by using the oven. My slow cooker chicken corn chowder is great served with a salad and some warm biscuits. Everything gets tossed in the slow cooker, which does all the work!
You can start the slow cooker before you go off to work and have a wonderful home-cooked meal waiting when you get home.
I simply slice all of my ingredients and put them in the slow cooker, where they marry and turn into the most wonderful and flavorful dish.

The first night I made this chowder, I invited my mom and sister over for dinner because it makes a huge pot that is enough to feed a crowd. My husband said it was the best chowder he ever had. I like to garnish it with some chopped, crispy bacon and fresh minced parsley. The salty crunch of the bacon goes so well with the rich flavor of the chowder.
