Baked Double Cheese Chicken Fingers Recipe
My kids are fans of chicken nuggets, but I’m not a fan of giving them deep-fried foods. How do we meet in the middle and make everyone happy? With homemade chicken fingers prepared in the oven. Taste buds, start your engines!

I wanted to make homemade chicken fingers but with a recipe that swapped out some of the more guilt-laden components. These fantastic chicken fingers use egg whites instead of whole eggs and are baked instead of deep-fried.
Whole wheat seasoned bread crumbs? Yes, please! If you want to be even more virtuous, omit the Parmesan cheese and use more bread crumbs. Either way, you’ll have juicy chicken tenders that the kids will line up for.
Although the kids are big fans of just dipping chicken fingers in ketchup, I like to offer other options as well, like honey mustard or barbecue sauce. For a slightly Southern twist, drizzle a little honey over the top and devour. However you dip ‘em, you’ll keep going back for more!
