In just minutes, you can make a crowd-pleasing Chex® Mix with the flavor of cake batter!
My best memories are of me and Mom in the kitchen. The most exciting of those times were when I was handed the mixing bowl so I could lick the last bits of cake batter. I still love the flavor of cake batter, and I’m still a bowl licker! After I make a cake, I don’t turn over the bowl to my son until I’ve had a few licks myself. It’s a childhood habit that I just can’t kick.
Since I’m a little obsessed with the flavor of cake batter, I decided to make a cake batter-flavored Chex® Mix. It’s a sweet and crunchy snack the whole family will love. Plus, it’s super easy.
To get started, take some white chocolate chips and butter and melt in a bowl in the microwave. Make sure to stir every 30 seconds so you get a smooth mixture.
Then add vanilla extract and mix it up really well.

Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the Chex® Mix. Toss it well and then add the dry cake mix, powdered sugar and sprinkles.

Give that a good toss to coat it well. (You’ll probably have to use your hands.) Then spread this in a single layer in a large cookie sheet. Bake at 250° in a preheated oven for 30 minutes, stirring once halfway through the cooking process so that the mixture cooks evenly.

Now it is ready to serve! Store any leftover Chex ® Mix in an airtight container.
