These were such a huge hit with my family. Many of my older relatives raved about the taste, and the memories the cookies brought back. I followed the recipe exactly as written. Wouldn't change a thing after the praises I received! Stick with the baking soda, I do not recommend using the baking powder as others have. It makes the cookies too cakey and that is not what you want from a true old fashioned cookie.

These truly have that old-fashioned oatmeal cookie taste. They're a classic with a traditional flavor. This is my husband's favorite kind of cookie and he loved them! Followed the recipe as listed and they're great! Be sure to mix the butter in well and they won't spread as much.
