Ground mustard and sharp Cheddar cheese give plain dumplings robust flavor. Five-ingredient recipe!

Ingredients

cups Gold Medal™ self-rising flour
1/2
teaspoon ground mustard
1/4
cup shortening
1/2
cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese (2 ounces)
2/3
cup milk

Directions

  • 1 Stir together flour and mustard in medium bowl. Cut in shortening, using pastry blender or fork, until mixture looks like coarse crumbs. Stir in cheese. Add milk; stir just until dry ingredients are moistened.
