Disappointing! After reading some of the reviews, I used all butter instead of shortening, the result was terrible. The frosting looked as if it had curdled. I ended up using two additional cups of sugar before it resembled anything like butter cream frosting. Will not use this recipe again.

Im actually a little dissappointed in this recipe. The texture was very tough and the flavor was not so good. All I could taste was the shortening and definitely not sweet enough to be called frosting!

Can this frosting be made ahead of time and if not all is used, can it be refrigorated to be used at a later date?
