Slow-Cooker Barbecued Beans and Polish Sausage

Ingredients

cans (15.5 oz each) great northern beans, drained, rinsed

cans (15 oz each) Progresso™ black beans, drained, rinsed

large onion, chopped (1 cup)

cup barbecue sauce

1/4

cup packed brown sugar

tablespoon ground mustard

tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

teaspoons chili powder

ring (1 to 1 1/4 lb) fully cooked smoked Polish sausage

Spray 3- to 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Mix all ingredients except sausage in cooker. Place sausage ring on bean mixture.

Cover; cook on Low heat setting 5 to 6 hours.

Try your favorite fully cooked sausage ring or other smoked sausage such as bratwurst or kielbasa in this recipe.
Make this dish super easy by buying prechopped onion. You’ll usually find it with the frozen vegetables.
Hearty whole-grain or dark bread, such as pumpernickel, and sliced crisp apples complement the flavors of this dish.
