Tuna with Cheese-Garlic Biscuits

Put a homespun meal in the oven in 15 minutes. The Bisquick® mix and other ingredients are probably all in your cupboard.

cans (5 oz each) tuna in water, drained, flaked

can (10 3/4 oz) condensed cream of chicken & mushroom soup

cups Green Giant® Valley Fresh Steamers™ frozen mixed vegetables, thawed, drained

cup milk

cups Original Bisquick® mix
1/3
cup shredded Cheddar cheese

cup milk

tablespoons butter or margarine, melted

teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 Heat oven to 425°F. In ungreased 2-quart casserole, mix tuna, soup, vegetables and 2/3 cup milk. Bake uncovered 20 minutes.
  • 2 In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix, cheese and 1/2 cup milk until soft dough forms. Drop dough by 6 spoonfuls onto hot tuna mixture.
  • 3 Bake uncovered 10 to 12 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown. Mix butter and garlic powder; brush over warm biscuits.

Tasty, flexible, versatile recipe. I substituted Cream of Chicken soup and doubled the amount of veggies (my own mix). Vary the veggies or even use leftover chicken or turkey in place of the tuna. This recipe lends itself to variations, but don't mess with the biscuit topping, which is so-o-o-o good just as it is.

This was so bland will not make it again. I had to throw the whole casserole away! I am not a picky eater and I couldn't even finish the bite in my mouth!
