Expert Tips

To save on fat and calories, use ground turkey breast instead of ground beef. You'll save 7 grams of fat and 50 calories per serving.

For taco meat with a kick, use half ground beef and half spicy chorizo sausage.

Carry out the Mexican theme of your menu with bowls of black beans, Spanish rice, tortilla chips and salsa.

Mole sauce is a rich, spicy and slightly sweet Mexican sauce. Look for it with the Mexican ingredients in your supermarket. If it's unavailable, enchilada sauce is a good substitute.

This was really good. My husband and kids, 11 and 6, both liked it. It's sweet and spicy. Will definitely make again.

This was terrible!! After cooking in the crock pot for 2 hours the smell alone was making me sick to my stomach. So I tried a bite and then I ended up dumping the rest of it down the garbage disposal. I followed ingredients and instructions exactly so I don't know what went wrong.

We love these! They are very spicey. I couldn't find "chile sauce" so I added chili powder, japanese chili sauce, water, and salsa. HOT!
