1 package (6 ounces) herb stuffing mix
2 medium celery stalks, chopped (1 cup)
1 medium tart cooking apple, peeled and chopped (1 cup)
1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
1 cup dried cherries
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 cup Progresso® chicken broth (from 32-ounce carton)
6 pork boneless loin chops, about 1/2 inch thick
  1. Spray inside of 4- to 5-quart slow cooker with cooking spray.
  2. Mix all ingredients except pork. Place half of the stuffing mixture in slow cooker; top with pork. Spoon remaining stuffing mixture over pork.
  3. Cover and cook on low heat setting 6 to 8 hours or until pork is tender.

Note: This recipe was tested in slow cookers with heating elements in the side and bottom of the cooker, not in cookers that stand only on a heated base. For slow cookers with just a heated base, follow the manufacturer’s directions for layering ingredients and choosing a temperature.

Many supermarkets now carry a wide variety of dried fruits. Dried blueberries or cranberries is a delicious substitute for the cherries.

This meal was very good, except my crockpot seemed to cook it too fast. We had it on low for 7 hrs, and it turned out very dry & part of the stuffing burned. Will definitely make it again, but will cook for only 5 hrs & will add more stuffing.

This meal was really good except the pork was a wee bit dry. Even though I only cooked it for 5 hours. Next time I will not be cooking it as long. I added more stuffing mix, cherries/cranberries, and apple but I kept the original 1 cup of broth and the stuffing was PERFECT and so flavorful! I will be making this again to try and perfect the meat.

I loved this recipe. It was quick and easy. I substituted cranberries for the cherries and used apple juice for the chicken broth. I also will use less liquid next time. My cook time on low was only about 3 1\2 hours.

I thought this meal was easy and tasty. I did used dried cranberries instead of cherries and also used dried apples so they wouldn't get mushy so fast. I only cooked about 4 hours though and the chops, fell apart. I think the longer cooking time would have made the stuffing too dry for me. I would cook this again. Really spray your crock pot good with ckg spray as directed or the sides of the stuffing will start to burn and stick a little.

This recipe was great. My whole family enjoyed it, my crockpot cooked it perfectly. I cooked it for 6 1/2 hours any longer and it would have been too long. Next time I will add some additional seasoning like sage. I will make this again.

Oh my is this good! The dressing does need a little something though, perhaps a little sage. I bet it would also be great with cranberries instead of cherries and also yummy with chicken. The combination of the fruits, celery, and onion give it a wonderful sweet-savory flavor. The pork chops came out of the crockpot in pieces they were so tender. This is definitely a keeper.
