(3 pounds) fully cooked smoked boneless ham

teaspoon pepper

jars (6 ounces each) jerk seasoning sauce or fruit chutney (1 1/2 cups)

cup diced dried fruit and raisin mixture

cup frozen small whole onions

tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 Place ham in 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker. Sprinkle with pepper. Mix remaining ingredients; pour over ham.
  • 2 Cover and cook on low heat setting 6 to 8 hours.

    Note: This recipe was tested in slow cookers with heating elements in the side and bottom of the cooker, not in cookers that stand only on a heated base. For slow cookers with just a heated base, follow the manufacturer’s directions for layering ingredients and choosing a temperature.

Sorry - I was just not impressed with this meal. I'm pretty sure it was the chutney, as we'd never had it before and had no idea what to expect. I'll stick with my old stand-by for now!

I thought this recipe was super easy. I used the seasoning instead of the fuit chutney and I though it might be too spicy, but it ended up tasting good with a lot of flavor. I would do again I might even substitute another meat like pork tenderloin or chicken breasts would also work probably.

I was unable to find the seasoning sauce and the fruit chutney so I had to omit that. I just used a can of tropical fruit salad (liquid included) along with the raisins and pearl onions and balsamic vinegar. Tasted wonderful. My five year old said I made the best ham ever!
