1: tablespoon vegetable oil

1/2: cup chopped green bell pepper

1/3: cup chopped onion

1/2: cup barbecue sauce

1: can (8 ounces) tomato sauce

1: pound hot dog, cut into 1/4-inch slices

8: hot dog or hamburger buns, split

Save $$$ on your favorite brands

1 Heat oil in 10-inch skillet over medium heat. Cook bell pepper and onion in oil, stirring occasionally, until onion is tender.
2 Stir in barbecue sauce, tomato sauce and hot dogs. Simmer uncovered 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Fill buns with hot dog mixture.

My 4 year old absolutely loved this and he's a very picky eater. He even ate the vegies and bread haha. I thought it was good but I the BBQ sauce I used was too rich for this recipe. I will definitely try this again with a different sauce.

This was very good and easy to put together. I made it ahead of time and put it in my slow cooker just to keep it warm till meal time. Let me tell you there were no leftovers!
