Just pulled these out of the oven. I was reluctant to try this recipe and didn't expect much. I changed the ham and cheddar to roast beef/smoked turkey and shredded colby/jack. They're delicious. Half a cup of cheese on top is a little much. 1/4 cup would be enough. I added a tablespoon of dill weed to the batter. You might increase the original Bisquick requirements to 2 1/2 cups and the milk by 1/4 cup... just to help cover the top of the casserole. Not very pretty (read elegant), but perfect for a comfort food meal or for children.
