I laughed when I saw this..it's something I've been cooking for my family for 30 years. And this is the first time I saw it in a recipe! Guess it's one of those common sense, stuff left over in the cabinet, meals that are a hit in any family. To Blayer....Rather than precooking the noodles in 2 qts. of water, this recipe only simmers it in 3 cups which ends up thickened by the cheese and soaked up by the peas and sausage. Truth is, depending on stove heat and elevation, you may find you need extra water to get the macaroni fully cooked. Check your cooking often and go with your gut. Good luck!

Good,Quick Receipe for those that don't have alot of time on their hands. I would add a little more sausage. Even my picky wife liked it and that is a challage at ever meal.

This is a delicious recipe. Mine was a little more watery then I would have liked... but all I did was add a little cornstarch and it was perfect! My husband enjoyed it, and even my picky toddler discovered he could eat peas! I will definitely be making this again.
