The cookies turned out delicious. They didn't maintain their football shape however. I had pre-shaped them before baking. It would probably be alot better with a football cookie cutter. But overall they turned out delicious, my boyfriend is asking me to make them again!

This is a fun and festive recipe..and so easy! I made these for the 2010 Super Bowl and I only came home with 5! The recipe is very simple and quick. Some suggestions would be to shape your cookies a little exaggerated, like lemons instead of footballs; with very pointed ends. If you don't, when you bake them, the cookies will flatten out and look more like ovals instead of footballs. The white laces can be a little tricky with the squeeze icing, so go slow! Otherwise, a definate crowd pleaser and very festive!
