I found that it has been very useful to use bisquick to help out my quick pie dinner. In this recipe, I skipped the onion powder and add 3/4 beef broth, still works great! here are some pix for my experiment :P http://www.chaisfood.com/2013/03/beef-pot-pie.html

I was out of a lot of things this recipe called for, so I made massive substitutions, and it came out fabulous! I added chopped onions to the ground beef, along with chopped celery & a can of sliced green beans. No tomato soup, so I used cream of potato. I added a bit of Worchestershire sauce to the beef along with garlic, salt & pepper, since other folks commenting said it was kind of bland. Anyway, it was fabulous, and I love this site!!!
