How-To
Feel like your apples are browning faster than you can peel them? Splash freshly cut apples with lemon juice to prevent browning.
Simplify
We recommend leaving the peel on the apples. It’s easier--and healthier, too!

this recipe is very good, and can use almost any fruit you like. when I use fresh fruit that's a little tart, I just sprinkle a little sugar over it before the crumble topping stage. this recipe is not crispy like the average apple crisp. if you want to it be crisp, try 1/2 cup of oats and omit the egg. experimenting with recipes is fun! enjoy...

I am trying to figure out why someone felt necessary to leave 3 negative reviews saying the same thing. It really affects credibility to me.I think the reason people had trouble with this is most recipes use rolled oats that help provide the crisp that hardens when baked.I would suggest looking for those type recipes. You know what ingredients you put in it so you should have some idea of what it will taste like when it comes out.If you never put an egg in the ones you like but you did this one, it seems reasonable to me that you can figure out that it will be more cake like.Stop and look at ingredients, find one that includes ones to give it the end result you like.

This apple crisp was not an apple crisp. The top was like a thick batter and did not flavor the apples like it should have. maybe less butter or no egg will change it for the better.

I didn't like this one much. It did not seem like a "Crisp". The only part I enjoyed was the tart apple taste. Won't make again.

It wasn''t juicy enough. I used Northern Spy apples, which they tasted good but the crisp part just wasn''t what I was looking for.

I thought it was good, but it is NOT your normal apple crisp. The crisp part of it is very cakey. But it tastes good
