Ingredients

  • 1 box (7.75 oz) Betty Crocker™ Suddenly Salad™ Classic Pasta Salad Mix
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup cubed block cheddar or Swiss cheese (4 oz)

  • 1 cup julienne-cut cooked ham
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped fresh baby spinach leaves

Steps

Pour pasta (from box) into 3-quart saucepan 2/3 full of boiling water. Gently boil uncovered 12 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain pasta. Rinse with cold water; drain well.
  • 2
In large bowl, stir together seasoning (from box), mayonnaise and Dijon mustard to make dressing.
  • 3
Add pasta, cheese, chicken, ham and spinach to dressing mixture in bowl; toss to gently coat. Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate until serving.

Tips from the Betty Crocker Kitchens

  • tip 1
This pasta salad recipe leaves plenty of room for inspiration and experimentation. Use chopped turkey or your favorite cheese. Try adding chopped fresh tomatoes or red bell peppers. Or top with sliced hard-cooked eggs right before serving. The sky's the limit!
  • tip 2
If made ahead, stir in a few teaspoons of milk to moisten the pasta salad before serving, if needed.
  • tip 3
Try using chopped romaine lettuce instead of baby spinach leaves for a different crunch.
