  • 3 In small microwavable bowl, microwave half of remaining 28 oz candy coating on High 1 minute 30 seconds; stir. Continue microwaving and stirring in 15-second intervals until melted and smooth.
  • 4 Remove half of the balls from freezer. Using 2 forks, dip and roll each ball in coating; return to cookie sheet. Melt remaining candy coating; dip remaining balls.
  • 5 In 1-quart resealable freezer plastic bag, place chocolate chips and oil; seal bag. Microwave on High 35 to 50 seconds, squeezing chips in bag every 15 seconds, until chips are melted and mixture is smooth. Cut small tip from bottom corner of each bag. Drizzle chocolate over truffles. Refrigerate 30 to 45 minutes or until chocolate is set. Store covered in refrigerator.

I've made these two years in a row now for Christmas gatherings, and they have been the favorite so far! They're fun and easy to make - I actually made them with my 4-year-old stepdaughters and they had a lot of fun too (it was like playdough for them). Those who tried them loved them and asked for more. Definitely will make each year!

I made these for the first time this year and brought them to a Christmas potluck at work. As the other reviewers said I had many people ask for the recipe. The truffles received rave reviews from my co-workers. I will definitely make them again.

I made these for a cookie exchange and then ended up buying some Christmas Tins and made them for Christmas presents! They were a huge hit and I had people asking me well afterwards for the recipe! Will definitely be making these again for the holidays!
