Thank you so much for bringing this back Betty Crocker!!!! I loved this as a kid and was sorely disappointed when I could only find the sprinkle version made by other companies for many years. I was at Walmart recently and saw the Rainbow Chip cake and frosting (sans sprinkle packet) and bought it hoping it was the funfetti of old times. And it is!!! Please don't take it away again.

Devils food cake with rainbow chip icing has been my birthday cake since I was a kid. I'm turning 25 this year and nothing will change. There were a few years in my late teens early 20s where I could not find this icing and I literally cried. I refused to have a birthday cake those years. This stuff is a tradition for me, please don't take it away!

I am totally a chocolate lover. But this frosting is by far my favorite, more than anything chocolate and it goes really well on a nice moist white cupcake. Mmmm

I love this frosting. My roommate made some cupcakes last night and used a knock off version of this frosting (due to the the fact that this is a rare find these days) and it was disgusting. This is by far the most classic fun fetti frosting available and I hope that it doesn't get taken completely from the shelves. I'll keep searching.

I love this cake and frosting as well! I went to 4 grocery stores before I could find the original cake and frosting! I finally found it at Rainbow Foods in Minneapolis. Super Target only had 2 tubs of the frosting left and only the Rainbow chip in the Angel Food version - I wanted the original white cake "Party Rainbow Chip". SO glad I finally found it!
