French Toast Cupcakes

There are four ingredients that really bring this recipe to life—Betty Crocker® SuperMoist® yellow cake mix, cinnamon, and vanilla and maple extracts. (You will have to imagine that cinnamon is shown in the picture below...my excitement to get the cupcakes in the oven got the best of me!)

French Toast Cupcakes

Prepare the cake mix as directed on the box, adding 1 teaspoon of vanilla and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon to the batter. This really makes the cupcakes taste like French toast. Line your cupcake pans with paper liners and scoop in the batter.

Bake the cupcakes at 350 degrees. Then let cool while you whip up the frosting.

All you need for the frosting is butter, powdered sugar, a little milk and maple extract. Beat those ingredients together. Then either spread or pipe the frosting onto your cooled cupcakes. For that added breakfast flavor, sprinkle cooked bacon pieces on top.

Serve them for breakfast before the big game...your guests will call them a winner!
