On top of rich chocolate waffles, this boozy berry sauce is a mouthwatering brunch treat.
Sunday brunch is something of a tradition in our family. It’s a time we can all get together and relax over a beautiful meal. Sometimes we like to go out. But more often than not, I like to stay home and make everyone something special, like chocolate waffles with boozy berries.
The berry sauce is the star of this dish. It’s comprised of fresh strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, which I pair with the zest and juice of a fresh orange and 2 shots of orange liqueur.
It couldn’t be easier to make. Just gather all the ingredients and toss into the slow cooker. Let it cook on high for 2 to 3 hours or until it’s rich and thick.
My favorite way to enjoy this delicious berry sauce is on top of chocolate waffles, which I simply make using Bisquick® baking mix. The sweet and rich berry sauce is also amazing over pancakes. Give it a try!
