You can't miss when you serve family and friends a citrus-infused dessert. Cake mix makes it foolproof!
Have you ever made a dessert that was an instant hit and that everyone loved? Well, I recently made a Lemonade Cake that my whole family went crazy over. I figured I couldn’t go wrong with the great taste of lemonade in a cake. And I was right! I served it one Sunday at our family dinner, and there wasn’t a crumb left over. Even my son who isn’t a big lemon fan loved it. It’s super simple to make but yet looks so beautiful.
I started with Betty Crocker® SuperMoist® Vanilla cake mix and added some powdered lemonade mix. Then I mixed and baked it according to the directions on the box.
My favorite part of the whole dessert had to be the lemonade buttercream I made for the frosting. It was so over the top yummy that I didn’t even ask the kids if they wanted to lick the beaters. I saved them for myself!
Once I frosted the cake, I decorated it with a few fresh mint leaves and some lemon zest. It was one of the easiest but prettiest cakes I have ever made.
