pound green beans, cut into 1- to 1 1/2- inch pieces

tablespoons butter or margarine, melted

tablespoon lemon juice

teaspoons Dijon mustard
2
teaspoons honey
1/2
teaspoon lemon pepper
1/4
teaspoon salt
1
can (15 to 16 ounces) great northern or navy beans, rinsed and drained

Directions

  • 1 Heat 1 inch water (salted if desired) to boiling in 3-quart saucepan. Add green beans. Boil uncovered 6 to 8 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain.
  • 2 Stir in remaining ingredients. Cook over medium heat about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until hot.

I'm looking forward to trying this. I wonder about the serving size, though. Based on the ingredients, this recipe could easily yield 6 to 8 side-dish servings. If you have made this, did you have a lot left over?

So delicious -- and a huge hit in my house! I sprinkled chopped bacon over the finished product, too, and it was wonderful. A great twist on boring ol' green beans and it reheated well, too.
