Sweet and sour sauce adds great taste to this chicken recipe made with veggies – ready in 15 minutes.
package (10 ounces) frozen breaded fully cooked chicken chunks
bag (16 ounces) frozen broccoli, carrots and water chestnuts
can (20 ounces) pineapple chunks, drained
jar (9 ounces) sweet-and-sour sauce (1 1/4 cups)
Prepare chicken chunks as directed on package. While chicken is baking, heat water to boiling in 3-quart saucepan. Add frozen vegetables; reduce heat to medium. Cover and cook 5 to 6 minutes or until hot; drain. Return vegetables to saucepan.
Stir chicken, pineapple and sweet-and-sour sauce into vegetables in saucepan. Cook over medium heat 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until hot.
This would taste great served over hot cooked rice and sprinkled with toasted sesame seed.
