Ingredients

Cake

Cinnamon Mixture

  • 3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Steps

    Heat oven to 350°F. Generously spray 12-cup fluted tube cake pan with baking spray with flour.

    In large bowl, beat Cake ingredients with electric mixer on medium speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Pour half of batter in pan.

    In small bowl, stir together Cinnamon Mixture ingredients. Sprinkle over batter in pan. Pour remaining batter over cinnamon mixture.

    Bake 38 to 42 minutes or until toothpick in center comes out clean. Remove from oven, let stand 10 minutes. Run knife around edge and center of pan; remove from pan to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 1 hour. Store loosely covered at room temperature.

    Butter flavor extract makes this Sock-it-to-Me Bundt Cake extra buttery and rich. It can be found next to other extracts and flavorings in the baking aisle. If it is not available, you can use vanilla extract.

    For easy pan removal, we like using baking spray with flour when baking our Bundt cakes.

    Try adding 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts to the cinnamon mixture before sprinkling on batter.

    Dress up this cake with a simple glaze: in a small bowl, beat 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons milk and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla with a spoon, until well blended. Continue adding milk 1/2 teaspoon at a time until pourable. Pour over cooled cake.
