Almond paste comes in a can in my area. 1/2 inch slices of the canned paste required more then 4 oz. The flavor is wonderful but check the size of the almond paste. The recipe is not clear as to the original shape of the almond paste or the size of the almond paste for the middle of the cookie. Edible glitter is wonderful.

I received these in a cookie exchange that has been going on for 25 years. One of the children of one the original members found this recipe on your Web Page and made them. They just melt in your mouth. They are so good, i have hidden them to be sure I am the only one to eat them. I allow myself one a day. This recipe is what sent me to your Web site. I now have three recipes in my recipe box.
