Add a little sizzle to baked beans using chiles, cumin and chili powder!
cans (55 ounces each) baked beans
ring (1 pound) fully cooked smoked sausage, cubed
jalapeño chiles, seeded and finely chopped
tablespoon ground cumin
tablespoon chili powder
Heat oven to 350ºF. In large bowl, mix all ingredients; spoon into ungreased 4-quart casserole.
Bake uncovered 45 to 60 minutes or until thoroughly heated and bubbly.
You can make these beans in a slow cooker. Mix all ingredients in 3 1/2- to 6-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on low heat setting 4 to 5 hours.
