cups uncooked extra-wide egg noodles (5 oz)

teaspoon Italian seasoning

jar (1 lb 10 oz) tomato pasta sauce (any variety) or marinara sauce

jar (4.5 oz) Green Giant® sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 In 4-quart Dutch oven, cook beef, onion and bell pepper over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is thoroughly cooked; drain.
  • 2 Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat; simmer uncovered 10 to 12 minutes or until noodles are tender.

This was delish! I did add some garlic and I cut the water to 2 cups (I was afraid it would be really thin and I could always add more water). I used noodles called Kluski, they are a smaller thinner noodle. I did cook them in the sauce and they turned out fine - not mushy at all. I think you have to be careful and not over cook the noodles. I would definitely make again.

This is a very good dish. I enjoyed it having noodles instead of pasta all the time. The pizza-flavored variation is really good too!

made this recipe a few nights ago and it came out delicious and was super easy to make. instead of using the egg noddles i used bow ties and added extra veggies
