Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 jar or can (14 to 15 ounces) pizza sauce
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (8 ounces)
  • 2 medium green onions, chopped (2 tablespoons), if desired
Make With
Gold Medal Flour

Steps

  • 1
    Heat oven to 425°.
  • 2
Cook beef in 10-inch skillet over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until brown; drain. Stir in pizza sauce. Heat to boiling; reduce heat to low and keep warm.
  • 3
Beat eggs, milk, oil, flour and salt with wire whisk until foamy. Spoon beef mixture into ungreased rectangular baking dish, 13x9x2 inches. Sprinkle with cheese. Pour egg mixture over cheese. Sprinkle with onions.
  • 4
Bake uncovered 25 to 30 minutes or until puffy and golden brown. Serve immediately.

Tips from the Betty Crocker Kitchens

  • tip 1
If you like, use spaghetti sauce instead of the pizza sauce.
  • tip 2
The entire green onion, both white and green parts, is edible. The white portion of a green onion has a slightly stronger flavor than the green stems.
